Candles made from soybean wax are superior to candles made from paraffin wax in many ways:
Soy wax is a renewable resource, and using it helps our nation's economy. Paraffin wax is a petroleum based product, and using paraffin wax candles adds to our nation's overuse of and dependency for petroleum products. Soy candles from Amity's Alchemy are the best choice over paraffin wax candles.
Burning paraffin wax candles releases toxins into your home, and that pollutes the air that your family and pets breathe. These are the same toxins that are found in the exhaust from burning diesel fuel. Soy wax burns clean, which creates a healthier home environment for your family.
Soy wax burns longer and at a lower temperature, which makes a safer candle that has better scent throw. Remember to always keep wicks trimmed to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch.
Soy wax easily cleans up with soap and hot water as apposed to paraffin wax, which is extremely hard to remove from fabrics and carpets, and sometimes can't be removed at all.

Adams, downtown in a Victorian style house on the corner of Adams and Seventh Streets. Phat Katz is a gift shop that also offers handcrafted jewelry, antiques, and other original handcrafted gifts.

Amity's Alchemy Soy Candles are now available at Monster Mail in South Austin! Monster Mail is located at 2110 Slaughter Lane West in South Austin, which is the corner of Slaughter Lane and Manchaca, next to Subway. They offer a selection of artwork from Austin artists, as well as shipping, copying and notary services. Monster Mail offers our soy candles in 2 and 4 ounce travel tins, and 6.5 and 10 ounce Victorian jars.

Soy Candle Tips
Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch. This will keep your candle burning at the right temperature, and minimize any soot.
Use a wick dipper to snuff your candle. This makes less smoke than blowing out the flame. It will also coat the wick, which will make the candle easier to light next time.
Give your soy candle a memory burn. Do this by burning the candle for the amount of hours that it measures across. For instance, if your candle is three inches wide, you would let it burn for at least three hours the first time. A memory burn will let the candle create a full wax pool. It’s a good idea to let the entire top of your candle liquefy each time you burn it. This will extend the life of your soy candle, and give you better scent throw. Our candles have a safety label on the bottom of the container as a reminder to be safe when you burn your soy candles.

Return Policy
1. Candles that have been lit are not returnable or refundable.
2. If one of our products is defective somehow, it can be exchanged for another of the exact same product.
3. Herbal and bath products are not returnable.
4. Shipping is not a refundable cost. If you choose to return a product, you will be responsible for the costs of shipping and packaging the product you wish to return.
5. All custom orders are not refundable or returnable.

General Ordering Information
Free Shipping on qualifying orders does not apply to orders not shipping to the US.
All orders must be prepaid before shipping unless other arrangements have been made by the management of Amity’s Alchemy, LLC.
Most Orders are custom crafted for your order. Some items will be in stock and able to ship sooner, but a 3 to 7 day period may be expected before your order ships. We strive to get orders to our customers as quickly as possible.
We can special order a candle fragrance for you if it doesn’t appear on our list of scents, however there will be a fee of $10.95 per new scent, as we will have to formulate and test burn the candles to ensure the highest quality before they can ship. Please email us with special requests and custom orders.
Shipping is calculated by the shopping cart. This is an estimate, and is subject to change.
We accept credit card payments through PayPal. If you would like to place an order and make payment by using a check or money order, email us with your order. There will be a hold period until the check clears, and then your order will be processed.
